Agenda of workshops
In the context of the project we will organise four workshops, each with a different thematic focus:

1. Workshop 1 - eParticipation in Europe: current state and potential
Date: 16 May 2008, 09:00 - 16:00
Venue: Avenue de Beaulieu 33, Room 0/54 (nearest Metro station is Beaulieu), Brussels (BE)


Main issues covered in the workshop:
* Initial views of the major factors shaping eParticipation across Europe, the main benefits of eParticipation at this level, and an overview of the state of play amongst European level and other trans-national organisations in Europe.
* A number of invited short case study vignettes designed to illustrate what is happening at European level today.
The above topics will be presented allowing plenty of time for lively and interactive discussion, so your practical input and experience will be a very important input to the workshop.

2.Workshop 2 - European eParticipation study: capturing good practice
Date: 29 September 2008, 17:00 – 19:00
Venue: EDem2008 conference, Danube University of Krems (AU)


Main issues covered in the workshop:
* eParticipation good practice; current state in Europe
* A framework for capturing eParticipation good practice
The above topics will be presented allowing time for lively and interactive discussion, so the practical input and experience of the audience will be a very important input to the workshop.

3. Workshop 3 - Reconnecting citizens with politics and policy making - what is happening now and what should be done in the future
Date: 22 April 2009
Venue: Prague
Duration: 2.5 hours (15:30-18:00pm)

4. Workshop 4 - Presentation of Study's results and recommendations at the EC.
Date: 29 June 2009
Venue: Brussels
Duration: 3 hours (14:00-17:00pm)


The workshop was closed to the study partners and the EC representatives.


Online consultation - Discussing European eParticipation Date: 2-13 March 2009

The Study has also organised an online consultation together with PEP-net utilising the DEMOS approach in a two-phase process. You may visit the consultation website here.
